Fogstar batteries are proudly designed and engineered in Worcestershire, UK, combining British innovation with trusted third-party components to deliver high-performance energy storage solutions.

At the core of each unit are Grade A EVE LiFePO4 cells, manufactured by EVE Energy, a leading Chinese battery manufacturing company renowned for its expertise in lithium-ion battery technology for both energy storage and electric vehicles.

To ensure optimal battery performance, safety, and longevity, Fogstar also integrates advanced components like the JBD Battery Management System (BMS). An intelligent device designed to monitor and manage Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, which is also manufactured in China.

Who makes Fogstar Batteries?

In 2021, Fogstar partnered with EVE Energy to test the supply of 280Ah prismatic cells for the UK market. After quickly recognising the strong demand, they set out to provide consumers with a safe, reliable, and cost-effective supply of both Grade A and Grade B cells from the trusted manufacturer. As a result, Fogstar battery cells are manufactured by EVE Energy, a global leader in lithium battery technology.

Having unknowingly purchased fake 18650 batteries on numerous occasions, Fogstar founder Ben Facer quickly realised how difficult it was to source genuine cells in the UK. Determined to understand the difference, Ben began testing every battery he bought, gaining first-hand insight into what defines a truly authentic cell.

Through this process, he discovered that many UK vendors were unknowingly selling fake batteries, unaware of the potential dangers and safety implications.

Not content with the high number of fake cells flooding the market, Ben set out to transform the battery retail sector, placing authenticity, safety, and consumer protection at the heart of the Fogstar brand.
